The Logs page provides comprehensive monitoring and management of all conversations, messages, and user interactions within your AI Assistant. This centralized logging system helps you track usage patterns, identify data gaps, and maintain conversation history based on your storage preferences.

The Logs page offers four different storage configurations to control how your conversation data is handled:

Purpose of the Log

The Logs page serves several key purposes:

  • Activity Monitoring: Track the volume and frequency of user interactions over time
  • Data Source Analysis: Monitor which data sources are most frequently accessed
  • Quality Assurance: Identify messages that couldn't be answered due to insufficient data
  • User Engagement: Understand user behavior and conversation patterns
  • System Performance: Monitor conversation and message counts for system health

What You Can Do with the Log

Overview and Analytics

The main dashboard provides:

  • Summary Statistics: Total conversations, messages, and users
  • Activity Charts: Visual representation of message volume over time
  • Storage Settings: Current configuration and ability to change settings
  • Visibility Settings: Control who can see specific logs and data

Message Sources Management

The Message Sources section displays:

  • Data File Tracking: Each specific data file that has been accessed
  • Usage Statistics: How many times each data source has been used
  • Export Capability: Download source usage data for external analysis
  • Column Customization: Adjust which information is displayed

Messages Without Answers

This section helps identify:

  • Unanswered Queries: Messages that couldn't be processed due to insufficient data
  • Response Details: What information was available when the system couldn't answer
  • Q&A Creation: Convert unresolved interactions into new Q&A pairs for future reference

User Management

The Users tab provides:

  • User List: Complete list of all users who have interacted with the system
  • Conversation Counts: Number of conversations per user
  • Geographic Information: User locations when available
  • First Seen Dates: When each user first started using the system
  • Individual Actions: Delete logs for specific users

Best Practices

Storage Setting Selection

  • Choose "Store All" for collaborative team environments
  • Use "Privately Stored" for individual user assistants
  • Select "Store Anonymized" for public-facing applications
  • Consider "Discard All" for temporary testing scenarios
